November 20, 2008
December 18, 2008

All meetings are held in the Municipal Building, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset.

At each meeting, the committee listens to citizen input during the "Open to the Public" portion of the meeting. It also deliberates on methods to preserve and maintain farmland and, in closed session, makes recommendations to Council concerning preserving specific farms. The Township was awarded by the State of New Jersey a grant of $1.25 million for each of five years. Because of this funding source, the committee deliberates each month over applications from local farmers who want to sell the development rights to the township and enter their farm into the farmland preservation program. Anyone wishing an application can contact the committee's consultant, John Loos at 732.422.4326.
