No Pass is required for Brush/Shrub Trimmings, Hedge Clippings, Branches not larger than 4” in diameter or 4 feet in length

Not Accepted - Grass, tree stumps, tree trunks or tree parts from below ground level

To purchase a pass for other items: 

Open to Residents ONLY – ALL  RESIDENTS  MUST  present valid Driver’s License to verify residency to qualify and purchase a pass.

If your home was damaged by flood water during Tropical Storm Ida, residents may drop off flood damage debris at the Township Convenience Center located at the corner of School Ave. & Berry Street. No fee will be charged for flood debris ONLY and is limited to Franklin Township residents ONLY. Proof of Township residency will be required. https://www.franklintwpnj.org/dump

NOTE: The Convenience Center is subject to close at anytime once the dumpsters are at full capacity and will re-open upon arrival of empty dumpsters.

Electric panels, water heaters, boilers and furnaces that are damaged by flood waters must be replaced and construction permits are required. All permit fees for this scope of work will be waived.  Construction Permit Application Packet & Related Forms   Construction Permit Application Packet

In Summary:

  • Tropical Storm Ida flood damage debris ONLY is FREE to drop off at the Convenience Center on added days and extended hours
  • Franklin Township residents ONLY will be accepted for free storm debris drop-off
  • Proof of Franklin Township residency required at the Convenience Center
  • No commercial vehicles LARGER than standard size van or pickup will be accepted with storm debris 
  • Fees apply to drop off Freon items and tires at Convenience Center (Must submit a form)
  • No hazardous waste materials are to be dropped off or scheduled for curbside pick-up. Please visit the County site for hazardous waste drop off days
  • Fees are waived for permits for storm related damage ONLY 
  • Convenience Center dumpsters have limited capacity (subject to close at anytime & re-open upon arrival of empty dumpsters)
