Road Closure: Route 518 between Canal Rd and Carroll Place-UPDATE

Updated information on the Route 518 road construction-The scheduled road closing has been delayed

UPDATE: 3/23/2015

Construction work to resume week of 1-5-15.  

One-lane closure of the roadway from 6:00-7:30 am and then from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. 

March 23 to April 24: Workday full closure of road; road open during rush hours and at night

April 27 through Summer 2015: Workday one-lane closure using police flaggers.

Fall 2015: Workday one-lane closure with police flaggers for final paving/striping.

 

Please note that this is the anticipated schedule at this time and is subject to change.

Detour Map

This will be a long term project with an expected completion at the end of 2015.  

Delays should be expected.  Motorists should exercise extra caution in the area and follow posted detours during times of closure.
