Take part in a high tech treasure hunt! 

Geocaching @ Griggstown Native Grassland Preserve

This free event is appropriate for all ages. 

Participants should be able to walk/easy hike. 

Event is Rain or Shine.

Bring water and wear sturdy footwear.  

What is geocaching? A real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices allows participants to navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates to find the geocache (hidden containers).

Participants will need to bring a GPS unit or GPS enabled phone, a Geocaching.com Membership(FREE). http://www.geocaching.com/

You may also want to bring along small trinkets or swag to leave in the cache for the next geo cacher to find and trade.

The Trails Advisory Committee, partnering with the Northern New Jersey Cachers Association, will be in attendance to mark the one year anniversary launch of the Franklin Township Geocache Trail.  At this Meet and Greet volunteers will help participants learn and how to geocache.
