Spring is a great time to add shade trees to your yard or to replace trees that may have been lost to recent storms, drought, or killed by the Emerald Ash Borer. We always encourage you to visit any of Franklin Township’s excellent local nurseries to fill your spring planting needs.

🌳The 2024 Shade Tree Sale was a huge success! 20 Trees have been sold or distributed for planting in our Township - there were three varieties:

Swamp White Oak https://mortonarb.org/plant-and-protect/trees-and-plants/swamp-white-oak/
American Yellowwood https://mortonarb.org/plant-and-protect/trees-and-plants/yellowwood/

All three are great for our area and will add color and shade to each location where they were planted.

We plan to hold another sale in 2025 - please stay tuned for details!
