The Township of Franklin has partnered with the Somerset Community Action Program (SCAP) to create the Free Franklin Job Training Initiative.  If you reside in Franklin Township and have been unemployed or underemployed as of March 9, 2020, the Township wants to help you embark on a new career path. Obtain your Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) through Smith & Solomon, one of the largest commercial driver training schools in the nation and an industry leader for over three decades.

Through the Franklin Job Training Initiative, the Township will cover the cost of tuition for income-eligible applicants. If additional support is needed for training supplies, transportation, and child-care services, the Township and SCAP will be able to assist with these supportive services on a case-by-case basis. Space is extremely limited.

Applications are due by April 18, 2023

Classes Begin April 24, 2023
