Stay Informed and Help Protect Your Family and Community
This impacts all of Franklin Township
Without public participation, this project will likely be approved.
Our goal is to increase awareness and participation in the community to help fight this proposed industrial compressor station complex that will have two 50’ smokestacks which will emit tons of airborne toxins in Franklin Township for many decades to come. The Northeast Supply Enhancement Project (NESE) – FERC Docket No. CP17-101 - also proposes to construct a 23.49 mile pipeline across the Raritan Bay using 15,350 acres of seafloor workspace & disturbing 117 acres of seafloor.

Relevant concerns must be expressed by many people to have an impact.
Get friends & neighbors to register as Intervenors if they are not already Intervenors. FERC paysattention to numbers.
Submit comments to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) & send copies to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) - Megan.brunatti@dep.nj.govRuth.Foster@dep.nj.gov(Samples are on our website, www.scrap-NESE.orgPlease copy key points, reword or rearrange points, and add personal reasons why these are important concerns/requests of yours in your comments.)
Share your concerns with fellow Intervenors, and encourage them to also submit comments. Send Letters to the Editor about your concerns.
Organize friends & neighbors to attend hearings of FERC and/or NJDEP. We need to show that many of us have grave concerns about this project. Williams/Transco will likely have union people and other supporters gathered to attend the hearings and speak.
Schedule small neighborhood group meetings to discuss NESE and the actions folks can take. We are available to attend meetings to share information and guide increased engagement. Click here to view the groups you can join.
