Resources identified on the maps linked above were selected because it fits into a theme that is described by the term ‘Eco-heritage tourism.’ This term embraces the principles of tourism that:
Contributes to the conservation of natural and cultural heritage;
Includes the local community in its planning, development and operation, contributing to their well-being;
Interprets the natural and cultural heritage of the destination to visitor; and
Lends itself better to independent travelers, as well as to organized tours for small size groups.
