    FREE for Residents 55 & over

    Join the Parkside Senior Citizens Club on Zoom every Monday in February, 11:00-11:45 am, for a special virtual program to observe Black History Month.

    Feb. 1: View YouTube videos that honor Carter G. Woodson- African American Trailblazer and hear James Earl Jones read Frederick Douglass' Historic Speech. NJ Orator, Kayla Kensey will present for the group. Enjoy a special video presentation that showcases the Parkside Senior Club activities.

    Feb. 8: View a series of short videos highlighting Black History. Videos include the first African American, all-female flight crew and the Negro League Baseball.

    Feb. 15: Quovella M. Spruill, Director of Public Safety, will join the Zoom and share her story of her career and her position with the Franklin Township Police Department.

    Feb. 22: Shirley Satterfield, Director of the Presbyterian Historical Society of Princeton, NJ will close out the series and share the history of African American life in Princeton, NJ from the time of slavery until today.
