The Franklin Township Police Department Community Relations Bureau (CRB) serves as a liaison between law enforcement and the community, promoting understanding, trust, and collaboration through various programs, initiatives, and outreach efforts aimed at enhancing public safety and building positive relationships.
R.A.D. Self-Defense System for Women

Somerset, New Jersey 08873 - Introduction: R.A.D. Systems is a basic self-defense program for age 16+ women offered at the CRB Building, 935 Hamilton Street, 6 classes starting April 26th.
R.A.D. Systems is a basic self-defense program for women only. Nationally recognized in the U.S. and Canada, R.A.D. is the only self-defense program ever endorsed by the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA), National Academy of Defense Education, the National Self- Defense Institute (NSDI) and Redman Training Gear. R.A.D. is the only existing program with a lifetime return policy.
If you have a daughter going to college or looking for a basic self-defense program to attend with friends or family this is the program for you. The minimum age for the class is 16 years old.
The classes will be held at the Community Relations Bureau | 935 Hamilton Street from 6pm to 8pm on the following dates:
April 26th & 28th, May 3rd & 5th, May 10th & 12th
Must attend all classes for certification.
Please wear comfortable gym attire for the duration of the classes.
