The Mobile Academy of the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey (AACCNJ) will host a free work-readiness workshop on Saturday, April 22, 2023, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., at Kean University in the STEM Building. 1075 Morris Ave. Union, NJ
The workshop will equip jobseekers and individuals currently employed with the basic knowledge needed to get a job or promotion and succeed in the workplace. Topics covered will include:
- Mining for Open Job Positions
- Résumé Writing
- Cover Letters
- Interviewing Skills
- LinkedIn Profiles
- General Business Etiquette
Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided to registered attendees.
Etiquette consultant, Jennifer Tyler-Washington, owner and CEO of I Am Polished, LLC, a woman- and minority-owned business., will facilitate the workshop. The company specializes in professional etiquette consulting in business, social, and customer service and helps individuals to confidently display a polished persona.
