Mission Statement:

The mission of the Franklin Township Police Department is to protect and enhance the quality of life via a Community Policing Operational Philosophy, through a partnership with the community, and to promote a safe and secure environment, free from crime and the fear of crime, for all who live, work or visit our community.

Members of the Department are dedicated to accomplishing this mission by maintaining public peace and order through fair, impartial enforcement of the law, fostering an environment of cooperation and trust within our organization and the community, and challenging the future with a spirit of optimism and innovation.

R.A.D. Self-Defense Program for Women

Self-Defense Program for Women

R.A.D. Systems is a basic self-defense program for women only. Nationally recognized in the U.S. and Canada, R.A.D. is the only self-defense program ever endorsed by the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA), National Academy of Defense Education, the National Self- Defense Institute (NSDI) and Redman Training Gear.  R.A.D. is the only existing program with a lifetime return policy.   

If you have a daughter going to college or looking for a basic self-defense program to attend with friends or family this is the program for you.  The minimum age for the class is 16 years old.  

The classes will be held at the Community Relations Bureau | 935 Hamilton Street from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on the following dates: 

Tuesday, July 25th
Wednesday, July 26th
Thursday, July 27th
Wednesday, August 2nd
Thursday, August 3rd
Friday, August 4th
