FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP YOUTH COUNCIL

Eligible to Franklin students entering grades 7-11.

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP YOUTH COUNCIL (FTYC) plans activities for youth in the community and coordinates projects with community partners. FTYC takes pride in providing great community service!

If you are interested in being part of the Franklin Township Youth Council, simply complete the application and submit it by 4:00 p.m. on 9/24/24.

Youth Council meetings are typically held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Community Senior Center located at 505 DeMott Lane.

DON'T BE LATE! Competition is tight and spaces are limited for provisional membership. Early applications are encouraged!

You must provide a copy of your report card. Please have this information before starting your application. *You will lose your work if you leave the form without submitting.

You must have 2 references from an adult, non-family member, illustrating how you show leadership and character in everyday life. The reference form is provided via link is https://franklintwp.seamlessdocs.com/f/FTYCRecommendation and in the application. Please send to two recommenders and have them submit their portion electronically by the application deadline. References will be verified, so please request them ASAP! Late recommendations will not be accepted.

RECREATION POLICIES & PROCEDURES

INCLEMENT WEATHER:  In case of inclement weather, announcements regarding cancellations will be available by calling (732) 873-1991 & press Option 1.  If schools close due to inclement weather, all programs held at schools are automatically cancelled.
INCLUSIVE PROGRAMMING: We welcome individuals with or without disabilities to participate in all recreation programs and activities. In accordance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), please contact us to discuss any modifications needed for you or your child’s successful participation in programs.

MAKE-UPS:  Make-ups are only offered for programs cancelled by the Recreation Dept. due to weather or other circumstances. In some instances, credits will be issued in lieu of makeup classes. Make-ups are not given for absences.  
FEES:  ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED UPON REGISTRATION. Program fees are not prorated for late registrations.
RESIDENCY:  All fees listed are for Township residents. The Recreation Dept. reserves the right to limit registrations to Township residents for any programs. Non-residents may enroll in a program 7 days prior to program start date and at double the listed fee.
REFUNDS/CREDITS:  No refunds/credits will be given after a program begins. Refunds will only be approved if: 1. Recreation Dept. cancels an activity. 2. A written request is received at least 7 days prior to the start of the program. 3. A medical issue arises which will require submitting a doctor’s note for consideration.
FEE REDUCTIONS:  Income guidelines are established for fee reductions for certain Recreation programs. Call the Recreation Office for information.
EMAIL:  Email is used for program confirmations and communications. Please note that Franklin Recreation does not share e-mail addresses.
