Public Hearing on Arlington Park
The Franklin Township Council is accepting community input regarding the change in use and proposed development of Arlington Park located at 30 Arlington Avenue in the Somerset section of the Township of Franklin on land known as Block 264, Lot 20-33, a .81 acre tract of land. Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:36-25.6(a)1, a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 6:00pm at the Franklin Township Municipal Building, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873.
The proposed development will allow for construction of a basketball court, a tot lot, a park pavilion, access trails and property line fencing. All information regarding the proposed change in use is available for public inspection at the Franklin Twp. Community/Senior Center at 505 DeMott Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873.
Written comments will also be accepted through July 13, 2016 c/o Franklin Recreation, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873. We request that residents also to send a copy of any comments submitted on this change of use proposal to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, Bureau of Legal Services and Stewardship, P.O. Box 420, Trenton, NJ 08625-0420. On or after July 13, 2016, Franklin Township may take formal action to approve the proposed change in use.
